Role DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Automation Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality, reliability, and efficiency of our Data & Analytics projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in test automation for data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehouses, and reporting solutions. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and software developers to validate data accuracy, integrity, and automation frameworks across our analytics platforms.Role and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test automation strategies, test plans, and test cases for data and analytics solutions.
  • Automate data validation, ETL testing, and BI report testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Design and implement test automation frameworks for data pipelines and big data platforms.
  • Identify, document, and track automation defects and inefficiencies, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Conduct API testing and automation for data ingestion and transformation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards while optimizing automated test coverage.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests into data workflows.
  • Continuously improve test automation frameworks, methodologies, and best practices for data and analytics testing.
Technical Skills
  • 3 years of experience in Automation SQA/testing, preferably in data and analytics projects.
  • Strong experience with SQL for data validation and test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL automation testing, data warehouses, and big data platforms.
  • Proficiency in testing BI tools (Qliksense, ThoughtSpot, etc.) and automating validation processes.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, PyTest, DBT, or Great Expectations.
  • Knowledge of API automation testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SOAP UI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and data-related services.
  • Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Python, Shell scripting, or other programming languages for performance test automation.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data lakes, and NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with Kafka, Spark, or other data streaming technologies.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize test automation performance.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in pharma, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
Nice-to-Have SkillsQualifications
  • A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree may be preferred but is not always required.
