Role DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality and reliability of our Data & Analytics projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in testing data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehouses, and reporting solutions. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and software developers to validate data accuracy, integrity, and performance across our analytics platforms.Role and responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for data and analytics solutions.
  • Validate data quality, integrity, and completeness in ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and BI reports.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and automation testing for data-related projects.
  • Automate data validation and reconciliation using SQL queries and scripting tools.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and data inconsistencies, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Conduct API testing for data ingestion and transformation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests into data workflows.
  • Continuously improve testing frameworks, methodologies, and best practices for data and analytics testing.
Technical Skills
  • 3 years of experience in SQA/testing, preferably in data and analytics projects.
  • Strong experience with SQL for data validation and testing.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL testing, data warehouses, and big data platforms.
  • Proficiency in testing BI tools (Qliksense, ThoughtSpot, etc.) and validating reports.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks for data pipelines (e.g., PyTest, Data Validation tools, DBT, Great Expectations).
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SOAP UI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and data-related services.
  • Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Python, Shell scripting, or other programming languages for test automation.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data lakes, and NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with Kafka, Spark, or other data streaming technologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in pharma, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
Nice-to-have skillsQualifications
  • A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree may be preferred but is not always required.
