Role DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Liferay Developer to design, develop, and maintain portal applications using the Liferay platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and experience with Liferay DXP, working within agile environments to deliver high-quality web and portal solutions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-level web applications using the Liferay platform.
  • Customize and extend Liferay functionalities (portlets, themes, hooks, services) according to business requirements.
  • Integrate Liferay with various enterprise systems, including databases, third-party services, and RESTful APIs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Liferay portal implementations.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, business analysts, and backend teams to deliver seamless solutions.
  • Work with version control tools (e.g., Git) and ensure code quality through unit testing and code reviews.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum-based development cycles, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Stay updated on the latest features and best practices in Liferay and related technologies.

Technical Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Java and JSP for backend and frontend development.
  • Expertise in Liferay Portlets, Liferay Service Builder, Liferay Themes, and Hooks.
  • Experience with Liferay MVC framework, RESTful Web Services, and Liferay REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
  • Knowledge of Spring and Spring MVC, and experience with JPA/Hibernate.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Version control with Git.
  • Knowledge of Liferays modular architecture and OSGi.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, Solr, or similar search technologies.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms is a plus.
Qualifications
  • Liferay certifications (e.g., Liferay 7.x Developer Certification).
  • Experience with Liferay Commerce and/or Liferay Analytics Cloud.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and design principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools like JIRA.
