Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. General Ledger Management:
      • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
      • Record journal entries and manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
      • Conduct regular reconciliation of bank accounts, intercompany balances, and other financial statements.
    2. Financial Reporting:
      • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
      • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
      • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
    3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
      • Process accounts payable by reviewing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and making payments to vendors.
      • Handle accounts receivable by generating invoices, tracking payments, and following up with customers on overdue accounts.
      • Manage credit control and ensure prompt collection of receivables.
    4. Tax Compliance and Filings:
      • Prepare and file tax returns (such as VAT, GST, corporate tax) and ensure timely submission to relevant authorities.
      • Assist with tax planning, audits, and resolve any issues related to tax filings and compliance.
    5. Budgeting and Forecasting:
      • Support the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
      • Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
      • Assist in cost analysis and recommend measures for cost optimization.
    6. Audit Support:
      • Prepare for internal and external audits by ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
      • Provide supporting documentation and work closely with auditors to facilitate the audit process.
      • Implement recommendations from audit reports to improve accounting processes and controls.
    7. Expense Management:
      • Monitor and analyze expenses to ensure alignment with budgetary limits.
      • Prepare expense reports, manage petty cash, and reconcile employee reimbursements.
      • Implement cost-control measures where needed.
