AVP - Credit Policy We have been retained by our client, a reputed multinational Bank to identify a AVP - Credit Policy to be based at Mumbai. JOB PURPOSE: To carry full responsibility for the credit approval and management process in respect of a portfolio.To develop and maintain co- operative relationships between all stakeholders in the credit value chain.RESPONSIBILITIES: Analysis of credit applications to assess whether the credit risk is in line with the Banks credit appetite and relative to the profitability of the deal.Proactively communicate key risks as they arise.Overall management of the portfolio of accounts with appropriate escalation.Monitoring, questioning and understanding changes in credit quality in any counterparty/ industry.Establishing a robust Credit Analytic Framework to identify early warning signals, credit risk process inputs and customer segment wise risk factors.Ability to lead teams and develop Credit Managers.Preparation of Credit proposals.Knowledge of risk systems and derivative instruments.Identify and drive change within Credit and the Business by initiating and owning change projects.Responsible for working as risk analyst to establish proper risk management standards for the client portfolio and facilitating business team in identifying early warning signals and analysing quick mortality cases.Post sanction activities including Legal documentation, Credit limits set up & monitoring, monitoring of covenants / credit line expiry / credit approval conditions / document exceptions / information sharing under multiple banking etc.DESIRED SKILLS : Thorough understanding of credit function. Strong writing, Excel and presentation skills. Highly reliable, flexible and self- reliant personality with good intercultural skills.Team PlayerExcellent analytical and reporting skills.Eye for detailsProactive approach to relationship building with the ability to manage difficult relationshipsSelf- starter with a sound work ethic and follow through.CANDIDATE PROFILE: Candidates should be Chartered Accountants or MBAs from premier business schools with approximately 8 - 10 years relevant experience in a bank.,
