Job Description

    Job Title: Desktop EngineerExperience: 1-3 years Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, IndiaQualification: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.The Desktop Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and functionality of an organizations computer systems, with a focus on desktops and laptops. This position involves a combination of hardware engineering, desktop support, laptop support, and IT helpdesk responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:Hardware Engineering:
    • Design, implement, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware configurations to meet the organizations requirements.
    • Collaborate with hardware vendors to evaluate and select appropriate equipment for deployment.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues, including component failures and connectivity problems.
    Desktop Support:
    • Provide technical assistance and support for desktop systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
    • Install, configure, and upgrade desktop software applications.
    • Collaborate with end-users to understand and address their desktop-related needs and issues.
    Laptop Support:
    • Manage the deployment and maintenance of laptop systems within the organization.
    • Configure and troubleshoot laptop hardware and software issues.
    • Ensure the security and compliance of laptop systems with organizational policies.
    IT Help Desk:
    • Act as a point of contact for end-users, addressing and resolving IT-related issues promptly.
    • Log and track support requests using a ticketing system.
    • Provide remote assistance and support to users experiencing desktop or laptop issues.
    Qualifications and Skills:
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in desktop engineering, hardware engineering, desktop support, and IT help desk roles.
    • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware components.
    • Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
    • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and provide exceptional customer service.
