Job Description

    1. Conduct regular inspections of machine shop equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drills, to identify any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
    2. Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machine components, to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
    3. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems with machinery and implement appropriate repairs or replacements.
    4. Collaborate with machine operators and production supervisors to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
    5. Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for all machine shop equipment, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner and documented accordingly.
    6. Source and procure spare parts and supplies needed for maintenance and repairs, while adhering to budgetary constraints.
    7. Install new machinery and equipment as needed, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and functionality.
    8. Train machine operators and maintenance personnel on proper equipment usage, safety procedures, and maintenance protocols.
    9. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in machine shop technology, recommending upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency and performance.
    10. Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
