    • This role is responsible for executive communications strategy and execution for our CEO and Chairman, and driving executive comms excellence across SCB.
    Strategy
    • Partner on the development of the executive communications strategy, aligning with company strategy and values, to enhance the internal and external perception of Standard Chartered.
    • Work with key stakeholders (CABM MT, Investor Relations, Group Media, GPRA, etc) to develop and execute a comprehensive, best-in-class executive communications program to deliver the above strategy for our CEO and Chairman.
    • Lead and develop a wide variety of executive communications content for our CEO and Chairman, including speeches, presentations, conference materials, briefings and leadership messages among others.
    • Ensure clear format and consistency of messaging of key executive materials produced by the businesses and functions for the Group CEO and Board.
    • Partner with appropriate Comms colleagues e.g. Content, Media, to scale and amplify the voice of the senior executives to extend further across multiple channels and client, colleague and corporate stakeholder audiences.
    • Research and verify data, proof points and anecdotes to include in materials.
    • Commit to ensuring that all communications are error-free, accurate, appropriately vetted and consistent with company values.
    • Build strong relationships with colleagues across the enterprise; serve as a trusted advisor.
    Centre of Excellence
    • Provide strategic counsel to communications leadership and Strategic Communications Partners on C-suite-level engagement.
    • Identify and define the ways for the senior executives to most effectively tell and communicate the Standard Chartered story.
    • Work closely with business, functional and regional leads and their teams to understand their business and ensure accuracy and consistency of messaging both at the executive level and within the regions and businesses themselves.
    • Partner with appropriate CABM team members to ensure consistency of executive messaging in all communications vehicles and in line with the Standard Chartered story, strategy, purpose, brand promise, values and narrative, using the full spectrum of solutions including in-person, electronic, print, and video.
    • Ensure rigorous fact checking of all executive communications content, verifying data, claims and statistics with the relevant data owner.
    • Support the broader CABM function to build the profile of senior executives in the service of the broader strategic agenda of the Bank, with a focus on ensuring that related stakeholders are knowledgeable about the business and aligned with corporate narrative and key messaging.
    • Collaborate with communicators across CABM and the wider organisation to ensure continuous best practice sharing and improvement.
    Speaker Bureau
    • Identify and proactively seek appropriate speaker opportunities for our senior executives.
    • Work closely with GPRA, platforms and events teams to advise and deliver an effective schedule of events and engagements for the CEO and Chairman at large scale corporate platform events such as WEF & COP.
    • Cultivate relationships with relevant conference, event and media organisations.
    • Build and manage a comprehensive speaker bureau process to identify, vet, approve and measure effectiveness of speaking opportunities.
    Requirements
    • Extensive experience in communications, ideally with a focus on executive communications.
    • Excellent knowledge of media, public affairs, investors, clients and social media dynamics.
    • Exceptional written skills for traditional media as well as shorter social posts.
    • Commercial understanding of SC business model and how our narrative can support it.
    • Comfortable and competent in interacting and guiding C-suite level executives.
