Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
• Design Creation: Develop original and innovative fashion designs for clothing, accessories, and footwear, ensuring alignment with seasonal trends and brand identity.
• Trend Research: Conduct research on current fashion trends, market demands, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions.
• Sketching and Prototyping: Create detailed sketches, mood boards, and prototypes for new collections. Work closely with the pattern makers and garment technologists to refine designs.
• Fabric and Material Selection: Source and select fabrics, materials, and trims that complement the design and meet quality standards.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other designers, merchandisers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive collections and effective promotional strategies.
• Fit and Quality Control: Oversee the fitting process, making necessary adjustments to ensure the final product meets design specifications and quality standards.
• Presentation: Prepare and present design concepts and collections to stakeholders, including fashion shows, lookbooks, and marketing materials.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelors degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop), excellent sketching abilities, and a deep understanding of garment construction and textiles.
• Creativity: Ability to think creatively and innovatively, with a strong sense of style and fashion trends.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality designs.
