Job Description

Greenhouse WorkerA Greenhouse Worker is responsible for the cultivation and maintenance of plants, flowers and other vegetation in a greenhouse environment. They must have an understanding of plant biology and be able to monitor and adjust the temperature, light and moisture levels of the greenhouse.The Greenhouse Worker will be required to water, prune, transplant and fertilise plants as required; they may also be responsible for weeding, pest control and propagation. They must have the ability to identify common pests and diseases and take appropriate measures to protect the plants from harm.The Greenhouse Worker must be able to follow instructions from their supervisor and be able to work independently and as part of a team. They must be able to work in a safe and efficient manner and ensure the plants are kept in optimum conditions. They should have excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to provide advice and guidance to customers when required.
