Job Description

    Description:1. Oversee all taxation matters (both Direct andIndirect taxes) for a media group, ensuring fullcompliance with the Goods and Services Tax (GST)Act and Income Tax Act.2. To draft, appear and represent before GST andIncome tax department and other tax authorities.3. Possess in-depth knowledge and practicalexperience in Direct Tax laws, including IncomeTax, TDS, compliance, assessments (includingvirtual assessments), and litigation.4. Have strong expertise in Indirect Tax laws, such asGST, Customs, Service Tax, VAT/CST, and relatedcompliance, assessments, and dispute resolution.5. To manage multi-state GST registrations and liaisewith GST authorities for responding to notices,handling assessments, and overseeing audits.6. Collaborate with law firms, tax consultants, andexternal counsel to prepare legal documents andrepresent the company during hearings.7. Manage various refunds, claims and deposit paidunder protest.8. Contribute to tax planning strategies inpartnership with the management to optimize taxefficiency9. Lead tax optimization efforts during mergers anddemergers within the Group, ensuring alignmentwith business objectives.Requirements:Skills Hands-on experience in handling tax function for aorganization in service industry with multi locationdelivery and with an annual turnover of Rs.500 croresand more. Very good knowledge of excel, SAP Team member and good at inter personal relationships Good hold on presentation of data Strong analytical && Communication skills To govern a team of 5 persons including staffs who arehaving dotted line reporting to the profile
