    Job descriptionThe opening is with a leading Life Insurance company for their office in Mumbai(Western Line)Role: Medical UnderwritingRoles & Responsibilities:Analysis of the medical and personal information provided in the proposal form about the insurance applicants.Analysis of information provided in tele underwriting scripts as well as Medical examination and investigation reports.Assessing overall risk associated with insuring individuals proposed under a proposal form after reviewing technical/personal,medical and financial information provided in the proposal form, past medical records, declaration, other documents, pre policy medical checkup reports, tele underwriting scripts etc. and taking decision on acceptance or rejection as per risk assessment criteriaDeciding whether or not to offer insurance to the proposed to be insured, and also on the terms and conditions with which an individual can be acceptedi.e. with additional premiums, waiting periods, exclusions, deductibles or any other sub-standard terms as defined by the underwriting guidelines.Decision on acceptance with revised terms and conditions will need to be processed in system and will be required to be done in new business, renewal orendorsement proposals within the purview of the underwriting guidelines.Any analysis, review or quality assessment as required by the senior underwriter or underwriting team leadAny analysis or assessment need to be carried out as per defined TAT.
