Job Description

    Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware, Prior experience inimplementing, administering and troubleshooting in network / network securityTrainings / Certifications : i) CCNA/CCNP-Routing, Switching ii) CCSA / CCSEVendor Management , Project Management , Good Communication and Presentation skillsCore Competencies:Routing , Switching , Network Security , Websecurity.Functional Competencies:Cisco Routing and Switching, Cisco ASA Firewalls,Checkpoint Firewalls, Trellix IPS devices etc.Job Purpose:Member of Network team responsible for Network and Network Security administration.This is a key position as it relates to production support of critical applications and involves workingin morning/ afternoon shifts. Candidate should be prepared to stretch and extend beyond normalworking hours/days as call of duty as and when requiredArea of Operations Key ResponsibilityNetwork
    • Maintaining and administeringcomputer networks and relatedcomputing environments includingsystems software, applications software,hardware, and configurations.
    • Install, upgrade, configure andtroubleshoot network devices such asrouters, switches etc.
    • Coordinate with System Integrators ,OEMs for design of any deployments /technologies as per the needand prepare the documentation forpresenting to higher management
    • Maximize network performance bymonitoring performance,troubleshooting network problems andoutages, scheduling upgrades and Restrictedcollaborating with network architects onnetwork optimization
    • LAN/WAN troubleshooting withprotocols such HSRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS,Tunnelling Protocols (IPSEC / GRE) etc.
    • Inventory maintenance.
    • Work within established configurationand change management policies toensure awareness, approval and successof changes made to the networkinfrastructure
    • Preparing monthly / quarterly reports,processing payments to vendors,budgets for expenditure etc.
    • Defining network policies andprocedures.
    • Proper documentation and updating ofdocuments related to network activities.
    • Deploying and operating networkmonitoring tools for effective andproactive network management.
    • Working knowledge of Leaf Spinearchitecture for Cisco networks
    • Ability to create accurate networkdiagrams and documentation for designand planning network communicationsystems.
    Network Security
    • Install, upgrade, configure andtroubleshoot network security devicessuch as firewalls, IPS, proxy server etc.
    • Basic knowledge of IPS devices, Linuxbased proxy servers, SIEM toolsdeployment along with correlation rulesetc.
    • Understand requirements of networksecurity and contribute in adherence ofnetwork policies and procedure as laidout by organization.
    • Maintaining firewalls, virtual privatenetworks Restricted
    • Be a member of security operations teamand Coordinate with SOC vendors forsecurity incidents reported
    • Configuration and troubleshooting ofdifferent kind of Access-lists, firewall rulebase to provide secured access.
    • Analyse security incidents/events todetermine their root cause.
    • Train fellow employees in securityawareness and procedures.
    • Prepare reports that document securityincidents/events.
