The Mumbai analyst will be responsible for the following:1)Market focus:a.Being on top of market activity new asset classes, issuance, price volatility etc.b.Analyze market events and the likely impact on index products.c.Educating the sales team and clients on index products.d.Understand client requirements and facilitate the optimum use of our benchmark products and tradablestrategies.2)Operations:a.Coordinating with traders and country analysts on a daily and monthly basis to price and rebalanceindicesb.Ensure the delivery of inputs namely rates, FX etc., which are used in the calculation of benchmarkproducts and tradable strategies.c.Verify the timely dissemination of calculated Index data through distribution channels (internal analyticsand risk systems, external vendors etc.)d.Coordination with internal teams (back office operations, technology, front-office business lines etc.) toresolve operational issues with index production.e.Client coverage during Asia hours. 3)Technical and Quantitative workflow: a.Prototype/model design in Excel / scripts using JPM analytical and statistical libraries, as well as marketdata systems (such as Bloomberg)b.Detailed specifications to work with our technology partnersc.Unit testing and back testing models with historical data.The analyst will need to demonstrate a blend of technical and analytical skills as well as clarity in communication and presentation. The candidate will be working on a daily basis with other team members in other regions; so experience working in global teams will be a plus. Communication/presentation skills are required to clearly enumerate different aspects of index products suite to clients, both external and internal. Skills required - Experience/interest in Python or any other programing language- RDBMS (SQL)- Excel, macros and VBA- Familiarity with Unix and shell scripting (preferred but not mandatory)- Experience with Autosys or similar job scheduling technology (preferred but not mandatory)- Basic knowledge of fixed income bond markets and a general acumen to learn cross asset classes products.Ideal candidates for these positions would be engineering graduates who have 1-2 years of experience on the technology side working the financial domain and have a keen interest in the financial markets and business.,
