Job Description

    KVM/ UCS/ Oracle Linux / Pacemaker/ Redhat Linux,linux leadinux System Administratorsinstall, configure, and maintain an organizations local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.Your main responsibilities will include:
    • Developing, maintaining, and updating the entire Linux infrastructure to ensure seamless 24x7x365 uptime service, encompassing servers, network hardware, and workstations
    • Establishing and upholding best practices for managing systems and services across diverse environments
    • Devising innovative administration solutions to address various operational needs and project requirements, optimising system performance and efficiency
    • Proactively monitoring system performance and conducting capacity planning to anticipate resource needs and ensure optimal performance
    • Developing, maintaining, and updating configuration management solutions, utilizing tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to automate and streamline system administration tasks
    • Creating and upgrading scripts and applications to perform automated tasks, increasing efficiency and reducing manual intervention in routine processes
    • Initiating, deploying, and managing software upgrades and hotfixes on Linux servers, network devices, and workstations, ensuring system security and stability
    • Providing recommendations to improve the security, stability, scalability, and efficiency of the Linux infrastructure and environment
    • Implementing monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous system availability
    • Collaborating with other teams to build efficient test automation frameworks, enhancing the deployment and testing processes for Linux-based applications and services
    Key Requirements
    • You hold a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an associated field
    • You possess at least X years of hands-on experience as a Linux Administrator
    • You have expert-level knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Linux including CentOS, RedHat, Debian, etc
    • You have a working knowledge of different programming tools such as .NET, Node, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, Android, Core, etc
    • You are well-versed in Linux scripting language fundamentals
    • You have a strong grip on various configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, etc
    • You possess in-depth knowledge of installing, organizing, and maintaining services like Apache, Bind, MySQL, MariaDB, etc
    • You have proven experience in dealing with firewalls, load balancing, etc
    • You are familiar with SAN management and VMWare
    • You possess hands-on experience working with protocols like HTTP, DNS, LDAP, SNMP, and SMTP
    • You hold a Linux certification(s) like RHCT, LPIC, RHCE, etc
    • You have strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
    • You possess excellent communication skills that facilitate interaction with multiple stakeholders
    • You are confident, detail-oriented, and highly motivated to contribute to the growth of the organization as part of a high-performing team
    • You have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
