Job Description

    Network Engineer Location: Mumbai Work Schedule: 5 days a week We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organizations network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. This role requires expertise in firewalls, Layer 2 networking, security protocols, and routing technologies. Responsibilities Network Design & Implementation: Develop and implement network solutions tailored to organizational needs, including configuring routers, switches, and firewalls. Firewall Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain firewall systems to protect the network from unauthorized access and threats. Layer 2 Networking: Manage Layer 2 protocols including VLANs, VTP, and STP to ensure efficient data flow across the network. Routing Protocols: Implement and troubleshoot various routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, and BGP to optimize network performance. Security Measures: Design and enforce network security policies to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality. Conduct regular security assessments. Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime. Provide technical support to users as needed. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures for compliance and future reference. Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor network performance and make necessary adjustments to enhance reliability and efficiency. Requirements Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) CISO (Certified Information Systems Officer) NSE 2 (NSE Certification from Fortinet) Experience: Proven experience in network engineering or a related field with a strong understanding of networking concepts. Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto). In-depth knowledge of Layer 2 networking principles. Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, BGP). Familiarity with security protocols and best practices. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
