Job Description

    leading eye doctor is looking for an optometrist in his clinic, near Opera house in Mumbai.Fresher or experienced upto 4/5 years.An optometrist is a healthcare professional who provides comprehensive eye care, including vision examinations, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, and the prescription of corrective lenses. This role involves working closely with patients to ensure optimal eye health and vision.Key Responsibilities:
    1. Patient Examination:
      • Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye conditions.
      • Evaluate patients visual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and eye coordination.
    2. Diagnosis and Treatment:
      • Diagnose and manage eye diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.
      • Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
    3. Prescription Management:
      • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and vision therapy as needed.
      • Ensure prescriptions are tailored to individual patient needs.
    4. Patient Education:
      • Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens care, and the importance of regular eye exams.
      • Discuss treatment options and preventive care.
    5. Collaboration:
      • Work with ophthalmologists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
      • Refer patients to specialists as needed.
    6. Administrative Duties:
      • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
      • Stay current with advancements in optometry and eye care technology.
    7. Community Engagement:
      • Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.
      • Attend professional development courses and seminars.
    Qualifications:
    • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
    • State licensure to practice optometry.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple patients.
    • Proficiency with optometric equipment and technology.
