Job Description

    Location-MumbaiTotal Experience: 15+ yearsKey Responsibilities:
    • Customer Engagement:Engage with customers in a pre-sales capacity to understand their database development and administration requirements. Conduct needs analysis and propose tailored solutions that address their business challenges and objectives.
    • Solution Design:Collaborate with the sales team, architects, and engineers to design comprehensive database solutions. Develop architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and presentations to effectively communicate the proposed solutions value and benefits.
    • Technical Expertise:Maintain a deep understanding of database technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Stay up to date with the latest advancements and leverage this knowledge to offer innovative solutions to customers.
    • Proposal Development:Create detailed proposals and statements of work (SOW) based on customer requirements. Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing models and ensure proposals align with the companys profitability goals.
    • Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept (POC) activities to showcase the capabilities of the companys database development and administration solutions. Highlight key features and functionality to address customer pain points effectively.
    • Relationship Building:Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams. Serve as a trusted advisor and foster long-term partnerships through proactive communication, support, and continuous engagement.
    • Competitive Analysis:Stay informed about competitors offerings, strengths, and weaknesses in the database development and administration domain. Use this knowledge to position the companys solutions effectively and differentiate them from the competition.
    • Sales Support:Collaborate with the sales team throughout the sales cycle, providing technical guidance, answering customer inquiries, and addressing objections. Assist in preparing sales collateral, RFP/RFI responses, and other sales-related materials.
    Qualifications:
    • Masters degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience);
    • Proven experience in a presales or technical consulting role, specifically focused on database development and administration;
    • In-depth knowledge of database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database);
    • Familiarity with database administration tasks such as performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, and scalability;
    • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences;
    • Demonstrated experience in solution design, proposal development, and competitive analysis
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and product management;
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically;
    • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
    • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
