Job Description

    Requirements
    • Master Marine
    • With 10-12 years of Experience
    JOB DESCRIPTIONSenior management position for port operations , preferably young master mariner with shore experience in liner operations or terminal operations .
    • Involved in formulating TSA (Terminal Service Agreement), SLA (Service Level Agreement) tariff, berthing windows, productivity and crane deployment with terminal operators and acting at liaison between MSC Geneva and terminals.
    • Port / Terminal Operations: To oversee India operations functions, monitoring port operations on daily basis, ensure workflow is as per defined processes and analysing operational opportunities for cost reduction and cost control.
    • Monitoring terminal and yard issues and taking corrective actions in consultation with HO .
    • Transport Dispatch / Transhipment: Ensure timely and cost-effective transport of containers by rail, truck, and feeder vessels to/from area of operation.
    • Ensure operations dept maintain systems, writing procedures and running statistics as needed.
    • Leadership and Management: Coach / develop individual operation managers and staff.
    • Continuously strive to create operational efficiencies within the operational process.
    • Single point of contact for operations managers PAN india for dispute resolution with Ports and escalation to HO level.
    • Focal point for formulation of SOP and process development at India level.
    • Liaising with port captains to avoid delays in berthing and operations at berth to enhance productivity.
    • Cost savings on port terminal operations, idle time, storage etc.
    • Contact with vessels for any damage by stevedores or any third party.
    • Ensuring that damage reports are prepared and acknowledged.
    • Liaising with local claims departments for claims details
    • Directly dealing with terminals and their insurance providers for recovery of claims
    • Compiling and maintaining claims records claims recovered and to be recovered.
    • Negotiating with terminals on settlements of old pending claims
    • Keeping KPI of claims recovered and to be recovered.
    • Formulation of reports / statistics as required.
