We are looking for and experienced PYP HOME ROOM teacher for an international school in Mumbai.Required qualification, experience and responsibilities for the same is as given below-1. Qualification -1. Bachelors/ masters degree or higher from an accredited institution.2. B.Ed in case of primary and ECCED in case of early years.3. Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in IB board.4. PYP experience is preferred.5. Meet professional teacher education requirements of school.6. Single subject teaching credential or certification if teaching a specialized subject.7. Relevant teaching experience.8. Knowledge of relevant technology.RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences2. Develop schemes of work and lesson plans3. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities4. Prepare classroom for class activities5. Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities6. Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students varying needs7. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment8. Use relevant technology to support instruction9. Observe and evaluate students performance and development10. Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments11. Provide appropriate feedback on work12. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students13. Maintain accurate and complete records of students progress and development14. Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations15. Prepare required reports on students and activities16. Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing andenforcing rules and procedures17. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules anddisciplinary systems of the school18. Apply appropriate disciplinary measures where necessary19. Perform certain pastoral duties including but not limited tostudent support, counseling students with academic problemsand providing student encouragement20. Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities,sporting activities, clubs and student organizations21. Participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings22. Communicate necessary information regularly to students,colleagues and parents regarding student progress and studentneeds23.
