Bring your whole self.The Role and TeamAs part of Medallias Cloud Engineering Team, Core Infrastructure thrives on collaboration, mutual support, openness to new ideas, and solving problems at a deep, systemic level.This team is responsible for building and maintaining large distributed components that run Medallias cloud. Our code serves millions of requests per second and does so with sub-second latency and fault tolerance. We handle everything from scale: compute, data storage, to synchronization and coordination of large server clusters, to providing a runtime environment for all Medallias applications. We are looking for candidates who share a passion for tackling complexity and building platforms that can scale through multiple orders of magnitude.This role is based remotely in Pune. Candidates for this position are required to reside within the Pune metropolitan area. Relocation support is not available at this time.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot complex problems that may span the full service stack.Deploy and update applications within our systems foundation (compute, storage, network, etc.).Operate our large scale Kubernetes Clusters in both clouds and Colocation data centers.Proactively monitor and manage the availability of infrastructure and applications.Be a part of the Cloud Infrastructure team on-call rotation for escalations.Design code and operate core backend software components to manage Infrastructure.Build automation to enable the cloud to be automatically maintainable.Code primarily using Golang, Python.Interface with application development teams to incorporate requirements.Work closely with other engineering teams to eliminate technical debt.Join the Cloud Infrastructure on-call rotation, collaborating with global teams to ensure 24/7 system availability and rapid incident resolution. Qualifications5 years experience operating a SaaS platform as DevOps engineerSoftware Engineering Fundamentals: Foundation in software engineering principles.Software development experience in Python and/or GoExperience managing Kubernetes clustersStrong networking fundamentalsExperience with tooling to manage GitOps deployments (ArgoCD)Understanding of the Linux operating system and Shell scriptingExperience with ContainerizationPreferred Qualifications Experience designing distributed systemsExperience working with observability stackExperience with Public Clouds (AWS,OCI) and Infrastructure as a code (Terraform)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProven ability to work collaboratively across and within teams
