Job Description

    Role:Sr Data Engineer - Microsoft BI - 1 Year Contract, Full-Time Conversion possibleLocation:Mumbai AiroliWork Model:
    • First 3 months: 5 days WFO.
    • After 3 months: 3 days WFO 2 days WFH.
    • 2 weekly offs.
    Experience:6- 10 YearsRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in the Microsoft BI stack to design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting and analytics solutions within a global banking environment. The role involves building scalable BI solutions, optimizing data platforms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business-critical reporting needs.Key Responsibilities
    • Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft BI solutions.
    • Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and data models.
    • Build and support SSIS ETL processes, SSRS reports, and Power BI dashboards.
    • Develop and maintain SSAS Tabular models using DAX and MDX.
    • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, and Product Managers to deliver business-focused solutions.
    • Maintain high delivery quality through coding standards, reviews, and documentation.
    • Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve application, data, and reporting issues.
    • Build POCs and propose innovative BI solutions.
    • Automate recurring processes and improve operational efficiency.
    • Mentor junior team members and conduct peer reviews.
    Must-Have Requirements
    • 8 years of IT experience with at least 6 years in Microsoft BI technologies.
    • Strong experience with SQL Server (2017/2022).
    • Expertise in SQL query optimization and performance tuning.
    • Hands-on experience with:
      • SSIS (ETL Development)
      • SSRS (Reporting)
      • Power BI
      • SSAS Tabular Models
      • DAX and MDX
    • Experience with C# development for SSIS solutions.
    • Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, and Historization.
    • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD implementation.
    • Familiarity with Agile and SDLC methodologies.
    • Banking or financial services domain experience preferred.
    Good to Have
    • Python, PySpark, or Apache Airflow experience.
    • Kubernetes and Microservices exposure.
    • Experience with Vertica or other MPP databases.
    • PowerShell scripting.
    • Knowledge of Cognos, Tableau, or Qlik.
    • Exposure to cloud-based data engineering solutions.
