Job Description

    • Ensure that all limits as mentioned in investment policy & SOPs are adhered to specifically:
    • Asset Allocation limits (as per IRDA )
    • All Internal Limits (as specified in Investment policy)
    • Exposure limits with respect to asset class, sector, issuer etc.
    • Exposure limits with respect to Investee Company, Mutual Fund & Group companies.
    • Limits specified for managing liquidity risk
    • Monitoring broker turnover limits.
    • Compliance with respect to guidelines for trading in equity & debt market.
    • Would be responsible for monitoring Credit Migration with respect to ratings and generate appropriate alerts along with classification of investments between approved and other investments
    • Conduct periodic credit reviews for all the companies in the portfolio at half-yearly intervals or as & when required.
    • Keep track of movement of securities between approved and other investments status as part of audit trail at individual security level
    • Ensure that key limits are present in the system for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and if regulatory limit is close to be breached, provide for approvals through real time workflow through the system
    • Would be responsible for ensuring that alerts on possible limits breaches are sent to all concerned in a timely manner.
    • Would be responsible for creation/updation of limits as per requirement. Investment system access for any limit opening purpose should only be with mid-office.
    • Responsible for ensuring that Valuation Policy is approved & reviewed by senior management periodically & would also monitor the compliance of policy.
    • Report violations to investment/ valuation policies, if any, to the senior management immediately.
    • Reconciliation of holdings as per company portfolio with statement of custodian on random basis. (daily basis verification to be part of back-office)
    • Monitoring the exposure by asset class with respect to collateral quality.
    • Monitoring IRDA regulations & Insurance Act, 1938 with respect to new circulars/updates.
    • Would be responsible for maintaining various policy documents and keeping them updated.
    • Responsible for monitoring & measuring Insurance Risk & Asset Liability management.
    • Will be responsible for monitoring various risk parameters like concentrations in specific industries/ sectors/ companies etc
    • Will be responsible for reassessing/ reviewing risk parameters in place and incorporating amendments in consultation with CIO, Compliance and Operations etc.
    • Responsible for actively participating/ providing inputs for developing system for generating various MIS relating to investments viz performance reports.
    • Investment Committee & Committee of Executive meeting updates.
    • All deviation/exceptions/observations/analysis should be reported to senior management on monthly basis.
