Dear Candidate,Greetings of the day!We are Hiring for,Sr. Offshore Structure DesignerRole Introduction:As the Sr. Structural Designer, you work closely with engineers and otherdesigners to accurately interpret the engineering design and ensure the design isaccurately captured in the 2d/3d design software. You are responsible for ensuringthe design produces fit for purpose results in a constructible and organizeddrawing. As the Sr. Structural designer, you will ensure application of bestpractices into design work and you are accountable to the discipline managerand/or discipline lead for overall performance. The Sr. Structural designer may actas lead designer for assigned projects.Role contribution1. Creation of 3D models and production of detaileddrawings including site/plot plans, general arrangements.2. Review drawings to ensure that guidelines and drafting standardshave been met.3. Performs duties as a PDMS/SP3D administrator, senior designer andchecker on projects.4. Reporting progress of work assignments to immediate supervisor.5. Understand the technical competencies of design team membersand assign work in accordance with their capabilities.6. Acting as lead designer in order to ensure team resources are properlyallocated to meet project needs.7. Manage subcontractors and ensure relevant documents are reviewedtimely and thoroughly.8. Ensure each team member understands his/her role andresponsibilities to deliver the design within the agreed schedule,and quality standards.9. Actively participate in all applicable project design reviews andfollow through on design review action items.10. Proactively interface with stakeholders to align expectations,prioritize design team activities, and resolve design conflicts11. Provide coaching and guidance as needed to teammembers; partner with discipline manager for mentoringstaff as needed.12. Performs other related duties and assignments as required.Requirements1. Proficiency in AutoCAD, PDMS/SP3D2. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team includingprocess, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation andpiping.3. Proven ability to collaborate with team members from projectmanagement, estimating and project controls4. Strong organizational skills, technical competence and attention todetailPrevious Experience1. Offshore structural design2. Recommended at least 10 years of experience as a designer3. Excellent technical knowledge and overview within his discipline4. Should be fully competent in the use of following software.5. 3D design under PDMS/SP3D.6. 2D drafting under PDMS/SP3D, AutoCAD7. Knowledge of Structural connections, welding and fabricationmethodsQualificationEducation1. Technical school certification/degree/diploma or equivalent.2. Advanced computer skills and experience in major design software such asCAD software and PDMS.Regards,HR Team
