Job Description

    Overview:The Technical Officer will be responsible for providing on-site support in the defined geography, ensuring paint performance, maintaining quality during the application process, handling complaints, and achieving overall business objectives for Paints Private Limited. Key responsibilities include:
    1. Assist the Sales Team in conducting product trials and comparing Paints products with competitors in the market.
    2. Devise effective ways to communicate the strengths of Paints products to consumers and influencers.
    3. Conduct pre-painting, on-site, and post-painting inspections for all fresh and repainting projects.
    4. Propose appropriate solutions based on site evaluations and customer requirements.
    5. Sample products at sites as per the requirement.
    6. Supervise ongoing sites with CROs to ensure correct product application practices.
    7. Coordinate with the Sales team regarding sites requiring warranty issuance and timely issue of Site warranty certificates.
    8. Resolve customer complaints within defined timelines and conduct analysis to prevent reoccurrence.
    9. Ensure compliance with inspection schedules to maintain site quality.
    10. Investigate and resolve complaints reported at sites.
    11. Conduct random checks of draw-down tinting process at godowns to ensure shade compliance.
    12. Verify actual application processes against recommended methods during site inspections.
    13. Provide training to sampling painters on the application process for all products.
    14. Brief the Project Sales team on the technical aspects of existing and new products.
    15. Collaborate with Research and Technology function for new product development based on market trends.
    Educational Background and Work Experience:
    • B.Tech (Mechanical / Chemical) / M. Tech (Mechanical / Chemical) or B.Sc (Chemistry).
    • Candidates with added Diploma in Paints Technology will be preferred.
    • 3-6 years of post-qualification experience in the Paints industry with a demonstrated track record in a similar role.
    Key Competencies/ Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Paint Products and their application processes.
    • Excellent influencing and collaboration skills.
    • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
