Tech in Safety & Fire Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade point average with relevant experience of six years, out of which three years should be at Pay Level 7 (44hidden_mobile) or one year should be at Pay Level 8 (47hidden_mobile). OR B. E. / B. Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering and M.E./ M.Tech in Industrial Safety with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade point average with four years of relevant experience.Experience in handling various safety related assignments in a Govt. or reputed organization. Knowledge of relevant safety codes of practice and national statutes. Desirable : Working experience of safety management, laboratory safety or industrial safety in a reputed, multi-disciplinary academic institution/Industry.Job Description /Responsibilities
    • Preparation of safety manuals, procedures and guidelines with respect to various types of research laboratories and activities, Conducting fire detection and suppression system audits,
    • Conducting general safety audits, Undertaking safety training for students/staff, Organising safety workshops and events for creating safety awareness, Organizing emergency response drills, Advising safety equipment procurement, Undertaking investigation of laboratory accidents,
    • Ensuring good laboratory waste disposal practices, Liaise with the responsible committee as proposed by the Institute, Liaise with external Occupational Safety and Health, and Environmental authorities.
    Compensation range Pay: Pay Level 10 (Rs 56100 - Rs 177500) Age limit: 40 years (as on the application closing date) with applicable age relaxations.
