Job Description

    Job Position: Technical superintendentEducational Qualification:
    • IT Systems Administrator / Network & Web Applications EngineerEducational Qualification:
      • Required:
        • B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, or Computer Management with at least 1 year of relevant experience after completing the qualifying degree.
        • OR: A Bachelors degree (other than B.Tech./B.E.) in any of the above disciplines with at least 4 years of relevant experience after the degree.
        • OR: A 3-year diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications with at least 6 years of relevant experience post-diploma.
      Essential Experience:The candidate should have experience in the following:
      • Computer/server systems administration in a large enterprise environment and/or managing multiple websites/web applications (front-end or back-end).
      • Hands-on experience with Linux-based operating systems.
      • Experience with hardware troubleshooting of enterprise-grade servers, workstations, or managed Data Center switches.
      • Basic knowledge of IPv4, IPv6, LDAP, web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx), mail servers, DNS, DHCP, and shared file systems like NFS on any Linux flavor.
      • Familiarity with basic shell scripting or any general-purpose programming language, and basic HTML.
      • Knowledge of IPTABLES, IPSET, VPN, SSH, Telnet, FTP, and SIP protocols.
      • Basic understanding of DBMS.
      • Understanding of wired and wireless communications, including terminologies, VLAN, subnetting, and routing.
      • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
      Desirable Experience:
      • Linux system administration expertise, including OS installation, driver configuration, and network setup for servers, switches, routers, and other network devices.
      • In-depth knowledge of LDAP, web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx), Postfix/Dovecot email servers, DNS, Proxy configurations, VPN, NFS, Samba, DHCP, and mailing lists.
      • Familiarity with virtualization, containers, and cloud technologies (e.g., KVM, Proxmox, OpenStack, Docker).
      • Good command of the English language, including workplace communication, documentation, and workflow management. Knowledge of the government purchase process is a plus.
      • Experience with web-based management of servers and switches.
      • Proficiency with network diagnostic tools such as ping, traceroute, mtr, tracert, dig, find, iproute, ipconfig, ifconfig, SNMP, and dynamic routing.
      • Familiarity with web technologies such as Django, Drupal, Angular, and MongoDB.
      • Knowledge of open-source firewall technologies.
      • Experience in configuring automation tools like Ansible.
      • Experience with managing Data Center equipment is desirable.
