Job Description

    Job Summary:The Service Advisor is responsible for managing customer relationships, diagnosing vehicle issues, and coordinating vehicle services. They serve as the first point of contact for customers who bring their vehicles in for maintenance or repair, ensuring that their concerns are understood and addressed promptly.Key Responsibilities:Customer Interaction:Greet customers warmly upon arrival.Listen to customer concerns and document vehicle issues or required services.Explain recommended service and maintenance options to customers.Provide cost estimates for repairs and parts.Ensure customers understand the work to be performed on their vehicle.Service Coordination:Schedule service appointments and communicate expected service timelines.Work closely with the mechanics and technicians to ensure timely and accurate vehicle service.Maintain up-to-date records of service and repairs.Follow up with customers regarding the progress of their vehicles.Sales and Upselling:Identify opportunities to recommend additional services or repairs based on the vehicles condition or manufacturers recommendations.Communicate warranty information and special promotions to customers.Upsell additional automotive products or services when appropriate.Documentation and Compliance:Prepare and review work orders and service reports for accuracy.Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and manufacturer guidelines.Process customer payments and handle warranty claims.Problem Resolution:Address customer complaints or concerns, escalating issues to the Service Manager when necessary.Manage follow-up and ensure that any repeat problems are identified and resolved.Team Collaboration:Collaborate with technicians, parts departments, and other service advisors to ensure smooth operations.Keep the team informed of customer expectations and any special requirements.
