Job Description

    About us:ProductDev Edge Private Limited is a company based out of Bangalore. Our platformMAYAI is a GenAI (B2B) platform for cosmetic R&D.Position Summary:We seek a creative and skilled Cosmetic Formulator to join our product developmentteam. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cosmetic science, be familiarwith industry regulations, and have experience creating innovative and high-performanceformulas. You will be responsible for developing new cosmetic products, improving existingformulations, and ensuring that products meet safety and quality standards. The candidateshould be willing to work with an AI application (training will be provided).Key Responsibilities:Formulation Development: Create, develop, and test new cosmetic products,including skincare, haircare, and makeup items.Research & Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends, ingredients, andtechnologies in the cosmetic industry. Explore new raw materials and activeingredients to incorporate into formulations.Quality Assurance: Ensure formulations meet internal quality standards, productstability, and compliance with regulations.Ingredient Selection: Select appropriate ingredients, considering factors likeefficacy, stability, sensory properties, and cost.Product Testing: Oversee and conduct stability, compatibility, and performancetesting to ensure the safety and effectiveness of formulations.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all formulations comply with relevant regulations,including safety testing, labelling, and ingredient restrictions.Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, manufacturing, and regulatory teams tobring products from concept to launch.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of each products formulations, testing, and developmentprocesses.Troubleshooting: Address any challenges related to product formulation, stability, orproduction issues.Qualifications:Essential criteria:Masters degree in Cosmetic Science and Cosmetic Chemistry.2-5 years of experience in cosmetic formulation or a related industry.Knowledge of ingredient properties, cosmetic raw materials, and formulationtechniques.Experience with cosmetic testing methods (e.g., patch testing, stability testing).Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Skills:Experience with natural and organic product formulations.Familiarity with sustainable sourcing and eco-friendly ingredients.Experience with cosmetic manufacturing and scale-up processes.Knowledge of product safety assessment and regulatory documentation.Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and beauty trends.Familiarity with international cosmetic regulations (e.g., EU, FDA)What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team.Professional development and growth opportunities.A collaborative and inclusive work environment.Apply with your resume to hidden_email,
