Job Description

    As an API Developer at ProMax Events, your role involves designing, building, and maintaining robust and secure APIs to facilitate seamless communication between applications, services, and devices. You will work towards creating scalable interfaces that optimize performance and align with business requirements. Your primary responsibilities include integrating third-party services, managing API versions, enforcing security measures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for successful implementation.Key Responsibilities:- Design & Develop APIs: Tailor RESTful, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs to meet application and business needs.- Integration Enablement: Build APIs that facilitate smooth data flow between systems, apps, and third-party platforms.- Maintain & Scale APIs: Ensure existing APIs are robust, scalable, and compliant with SLAs through proper versioning and lifecycle support.- Document Interfaces: Utilize tools like Swagger/OpenAPI to create clear API documentation for internal teams and external developers.- Secure Endpoints: Implement security best practices such as OAuth, JWT, rate limiting, and input validation.- Test & Monitor: Develop automated test suites and utilize monitoring/logging tools to uphold high API performance and reliability.- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with frontend developers, backend teams, DevOps, and product managers for seamless integration.Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Minimum 2 years of experience in backend or API-focused roles.- Strong understanding of web protocols, HTTP, and data formats (JSON, XML).- Experience with API monitoring, versioning, and debugging.Soft Skills:- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.- Strong documentation and communication skills.- Team player with a collaborative attitude.- Passion for clean, maintainable code.Preferred Skills:- Experience with microservices architecture.- Familiarity with API monetization or developer portals.- Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).The company, ProMax Events, specializes in creating an integrated event ecosystem that enhances event planning and execution efficiency.
