Job Description

    As an Application Security Engineer at MicroStrategy, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our software applications using modern security and AI tooling. Your responsibilities will include integrating security practices throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring our software products are resilient against vulnerabilities.You will work closely with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC, conduct threat modeling, secure code reviews, and security testing. Identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities through tools like SAST, DAST, and SCA will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will be involved in manual and automated penetration testing of various applications, secure code reviews, threat modeling, and risk analysis.To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of software development or software security experience in an agile environment. Hands-on experience with security tools like Checkmarx, Fortify, Veracode, SonarQube, Burp Suite, and ZAP is required. Fluency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript is essential, as well as a strong understanding of secure coding principles and application security frameworks.Moreover, familiarity with security standards and regulations like OWASP and NIST is preferred.
