Job Description

    The Deputy General Manager / General Manager of Truck Management will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of truck operations, ensuring seamless transportation of goods to and from our facilities. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in trucking logistics, exceptional managerial skills, and a strong focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Key Responsibilities:Fleet Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of the companys fleet of trucks, ensuring optimal performance, compliance with regulations, and adherence to safety standards.Route Planning: Develop and implement strategic route plans to optimize delivery schedules, minimize transportation costs, and maximize resource utilization.Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of trucking professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure operational excellence and adherence to company policies.Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with trucking vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to ensure service level agreements are met.Cost Optimization: Analyze transportation costs, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and implement strategies to improve overall efficiency and profitability.Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations governing trucking operations.Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the performance of trucking operations, track metrics, and identify areas for improvement.Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and optimize trucking operations.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions to trucking operations and ensure continuity of service.Customer Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to understand their transportation needs, address concerns, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.- Minimum of 10 years of experience in trucking operations management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.- Strong understanding of trucking regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.- Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive results.- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make data-driven decisions.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.- Proficiency in logistics software and systems, including route optimization tools, fleet management software, and ERP
