Job Description

    Join PAIGAM, in collaboration with Azim Premji University, as a Field Surveyor Research Associate for a nationwide research project on street vendor livelihoods. This is a two-week, on-ground engagement across 3 Indian cities: Nagpur, Guwahati, Ranchi.**Key Responsibilities:**- Conducting Google Form surveys of street vendors.- Managing records of surveys in Google Sheet.**Qualifications Required:**- Open to students, fresh graduates, community researchers, or anyone with a strong interest in field-based social research.Youll be part of a committed team doing rigorous, people-centered fieldwork, ideal for those who care deeply about social equity, urban livelihoods, and research that drives change.[Note: This is a field-based position. Accommodation will not be provided. Apply only if you are local to any of the listed cities or can self-manage your stay.]About the Company:PAIGAM (Peoples Association In Grassroots Action and Movement) is an aggregator of activists, researchers, practitioners, and organizations that aims to bring together social efforts at the local, national, and global levels through media advocacy and action research. They wish to bring a seamless bridge between academia, activism, policy, and the public through their media, advocacy, research, grassroots fellowship, and mobilization channels. They are engaged in several projects which include Covid-19 Delhi Relief Work where they reached out to more than ten thousand persons during the lockdown. They also started a fundraiser to help the waste picker community of Delhi and provided them with ration kits and other relief materials. Even YouTuber Samay Raina raised funds for the initiative through the #ChessForCharity livestream event with the legendary Viswanathan Anand and several comedians.,
