Job Description

    The Ticketing Counter Staff is responsible for assisting customers with ticket purchases, reservations, and inquiries at the ticketing counter. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable about ticketing systems, travel itineraries, and company policies.Key Responsibilities:
    • Assist customers in purchasing tickets, making reservations, and processing cancellations or modifications.
    • Provide information on ticket prices, schedules, routes, policies, and promotions.
    • Operate ticketing systems and process transactions accurately.
    • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods, ensuring proper billing and reconciliation.
    • Print and distribute tickets, boarding passes, or travel documents as required.
    • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally.
    • Coordinate with internal departments regarding ticket availability, seat assignments, and special requests.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and travel guidelines.
    • Maintain a clean and organized ticketing counter area.
    • Assist in preparing daily sales reports and transaction records.
    Qualifications and Skills:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality, tourism, or customer service is a plus.
    • Previous experience in ticketing, travel agencies, airlines, or public transportation is preferred.
    • Proficiency in using ticketing software, reservation systems, and point-of-sale (POS) machines.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accuracy in financial records.
    • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle peak-hour rush.
    • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
    Work Environment:
    • Front-desk/counter-based role in airports, bus stations, train stations, theaters, or event venues.
    • Requires prolonged standing and interaction with customers.
    • May involve working in a high-pressure environment during peak hours.
