Job Details:ResponsibilitiesPre-Shipment Responsibilities
• Documentation Preparation and Review
• Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documents (invoices, packing lists, and export licenses).
• Ensure compliance with company policies and international trade regulations.
• Carrier and Logistics Coordination
• Identify suitable carriers based on shipment requirements, negotiate rates, and confirm bookings.
• Plan and schedule shipments according to deadlines, ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to timelines.
• Quality Assurance and Packaging Oversight
• Coordinate with the quality assurance and warehouse teams to verify product standards.
• Oversee the packaging process to ensure goods are properly packed, labeled, and meet destination requirements.
• Customs and Export Compliance
• Ensure all export requirements and documentation are in place to prevent customs delays.
• Obtain necessary licenses, permits, and certifications in line with the destination countrys regulations.
Post-Shipment Responsibilities
• Shipment Tracking and Monitoring
• Track and monitor shipments, providing regular status updates to internal teams and customers.
• Address any issues related to delays or detours proactively.
• Customs Clearance Coordination
• Collaborate with customs brokers to ensure smooth customs clearance, addressing any document discrepancies or regulatory concerns promptly.
• Issue Resolution and Customer Support
• Resolve shipment issues, including damage, delays, or discrepancies, working with customers and carriers.
• Maintain clear communication with clients to manage expectations and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Invoicing and Financial Reconciliation
• Prepare and manage freight invoices, ensuring charges align with quoted rates and contract terms.
• Coordinate with the finance department to handle payments, address discrepancies, and process invoices.
• Documentation Management and Record Keeping
• Maintain organized records of all shipment and customs documents, ensuring compliance with internal audit and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management will be preferred.
• Experience: 4 years of experience in freight, logistics, or shipping within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and customs regulations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in using shipment tracking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
