Job Description

    *. Senior Data Tester Job Description Responsibilities
    • Responsible for validating data sources, extracting data applications of transformation logic and uploading data in target tables. Responsible for designing, testing, and troubleshooting the client s data storage system before it goes live.
    • Evaluate the testability of requirements and create a comprehensive test plan that supports the business and technological solutions being delivered.
    • Review Data Models, Data Mappings, Architectural Documentation to create/execute effective SIT Test Plans and SIT test cases
    • Validates data by running queries in the database and verify that the results match the expectations
    • Analyzes and troubleshoots erroneous results, determines the root cause of defects, logs the defects in HP Quality Center/ALM and enables defect management, including working with the development team on the resolution of Software related defects
    • Works closely with software development team (Business Analysts, Developers & other testers) to ensure timely and effective testing effort
    • Writing queries to extract data for test case data comparison
    Required Skills
    • Experience on enterprise level applications which includes Data Warehouse Testing.
    • Experience in writing complex SQL queries, ability to determine the types of testing that must be conducted (i.e., data validation, regression, etc.),
    • Should have adequate experience and clear understanding of data warehouse and data mart testing.
    • Identification and Test Data Preparation Techniques.
    • Thorough knowledge of Software Test Life Cycle, Test Case Life Cycle, Defect Life Cycle etc. Proficiency with Test Case Preparation and Execution.
    • QA Automation Test tools expertise in Selenium, Test Ng, Querysurge
    • Extensive exposure to Back-end/ETL Testing with high-level of SQL skills is required.
    • Possess experience in using Informatica suite of tools.
    • Must have Talend Open Studio Experience
    • Experience in data analysis, including profiling, auditing, balancing, and reconciliation, in an information technology operating environment.
    • Defect tracking experience (i.e. ALM, Jira, Bugzilla, etc)
    • Experience in tuning SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Views, etc for performance improvements
    • Knowledge of data models and entity relationship diagrams
    • Knowledge in capital markets domain
