By pushing the boundaries of technology and each other to surpass these boundaries we create seeds of learning that become the catalyst for the world s innovations, personal and global, large and small.DescriptionPurposeThis is a technical role in the ELT Digital Production team.You will provide technical asset production and digital product assembly services, to support the internal and external production of digital products and services to the quality, time and budget constraints appropriate to each project, working closely to briefs provided by our Digital Delivery Leads. As part of the Content Production team, they are responsible for ensuring that produced content is of the appropriate quality, and is delivered to agreed schedules and budgetsKey Accountabilities Provide technical assistance with all aspects of digital product assembly across both Pearson platforms and mobile apps Manage, oversee and undertake the preparation of digital assets (text, images, audio, video) to agreed standards Prepare text data for digital products, including the keying and transformation of editorial content from unstructured to structured formats Provide online and offline technical support and assistance to development teams and vendors in the use of Pearson authoring tools and platforms and the preparation of assetsKey Challenges Explain technical delivery requirements to stakeholders, to inform content development and production processes Work closely with internal and external production service providers, in support of our outsourcing strategy Multi-task across multiple projects whilst remaining calm under pressure Ensure that all work is completed to the agreed standard and within the agreed timescalesKey Relationships Digital Delivery Lead, Media Producers (Audio and Video), Digital Content Producers, Visual Designer, Project Managers, Content DevelopersCandidate:Candidate AttributesThe Pearson English focus is particularly on these attributes: Resilient perseveres with determination and conviction Entrepreneurial applies expertise for success of the business Free-thinking is creative, dynamic and inquisitive Bold makes an impact through strong initiative and action International embraces community of global, culturally-aware teams Committed to Excellence delivers now and improves continuouslyRole-specific attributes: Flexible understands digital production in all phases and formats Resourceful delivers upon digital requirements quickly and intelligently Knowledgeable strong technical understandingCandidate ProfileEssential Experience in the management and/or authoring of multimedia content High level of computer literacy on Mac, Windows and mobile operating systems Strong understanding of digital audio and video editing and delivery formats Strong communication skills Experience of using Microsoft Office and/or Google Drive Working knowledge in the use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, other media apps Knowledge of the file formats and codecs used in digital media Working knowledge of HTML, XML data structures and schemasDesirable Understanding of metadata Working knowledge of scheduling/project management software, for example, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc.Previous ExperienceEssential A minimum of two years of experience of multimedia production, in a busy, collaborative working environment Experience of managing digital audio and video assets Experience of customer-facing content delivery platforms (for example, Pearson ActiveTeach, myEnglish Lab)Personal Style and Behaviour.We are looking for an enthusiastic digital technician to work closely with and support our Digital Delivery Leads.You will need to be flexible, collaborative and enjoy working across a range of disciplines, genres and techniques. Adept at switching between a number of digital projects, you will be systematic in approach with great attention to detail. As an excellent communicator, you will be working closely with project managers and other stakeholders, using your experience to manage the production and post-production process for a range of digital products and services, to meet the needs of our digital publishing programme.,
