Dy. Manager VM-Ware Data centre & VDI (Virtual desktop Infra) management

• Experience: 4-5 years of experience with VMWare Technology along with VMWare Certification

• VMware & Virtual Desktop Infrastructure: Managed and performed process to create, manage virtual desktops
• Manage ESX hosts, VUM, NAS and SAN storage.
• Managed multi-vendor virtual infrastructure maintenance, support, troubleshooting and repair for physical and virtual machines (hypervisors) and VDI during on-boarding and transition to external support.
• Managed compute and storage resource capacity to optimize system performance, increasing VM density for future requirement.
• Installed, Managed, and configured datacentre with multiple VMware ESXi hosts with High Available and Distributed Resource Scheduler.
• Disaster recovery replication configuration and testing
• General Software: VMware vCenter Server, vCenter Server Heartbeat, vCenter Converter, vCenter Site Recovery Manager, vMotion, DRS, VMware HA, Scripting skills (VB, Perl, PowerShell), vCM, VUM
• Ability to perform root cause analysis on all VMware products. E.g. ESX hosts, Virtual Centers, and Virtual Machines, VDI , Physical servers, storage ,SAN Switches
• Ability to administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) attached to VMware environments VMware Certified Professional (VCP), VDI Certified preferred
• Performing systems/software administration, backup/recovery, monitoring, problem resolution and change management
• Coordinating hardware and software problems or repairs channelled through outside vendors and service providers
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience with VMWare Technology along with VMWare Certification.
• experience in configuring DRS, HA, vMotion, storage vMotion, virtual networking, cloning, deploying VMs from templates and automating VMware environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience on VMware ESXi 5.X, 4.X, 6.X, new launch and VMware vSphere5 features SMP, Storage DRS, profile driven storage, auto deploy and v-Switch design.
• Proficiency in using V Sphere, vCloud Suite /vRealize suite - vRealize Operations Manager (vRops), Log Insight, vRealize Orchestration(vRO), and vRealize Automation (vRA/ vCAC), VMware Virtual SAN (vSAN)
• VMware Products: VMware Work Station, Vmware converter, VMware vSphere, Esxi server, DRS, vCloud Manager, HA, FT, Vmware update manager, VMware virtual desktop infrastructure VDI, VMware view, SRM, Vcloud Directory, vBlock Administration
• install, configure and maintain the virtual environment
• Install and configure SRM and Site replication.
• Facilitated all the Hyper Converged Services like Nutanix, vXrail & Simplivity
• Worked with user s requirement to design VMware Horizon View Virtual Desktop environments
• Managed snapshots, clones, templates during patch releases and new server deployments.
• Configured VMware HA, VMware DRS, FT in acquiring higher efficiency for VMware Infrastructure
• Run Service Improvement Plans for effective management of the VMware infrastructure.
• Management of VMware infrastructure using vCenter Operations Manager.
• install, configure VMware ESX, ESXi, within vSphere 4 and 5 environments with Virtual Centre management, vMotion and VMware Data Recovery.
• Configured and managed VSphere 5, ESXi hosts and VMs.
• VMware vCloud 1.5 to 5.5 installation/configuration/administration and troubleshooting issues in vCloud.
• Have experience on vMotion, Migration and Virtual infrastructure upgrade.
• Created LUNs, META LUNs, Storage Groups, and RAID groups.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech / BE / BCA/MCA, VMWare certified
• UG Qualifications: B.Tech / BE/BCA in Computer Science or related disciplines
• PG Qualifications: M.tech in Computer Science or related disciplines (optional)
