Engineering Managers (Job Code:EM) Responsibilities: Position Summary : As an Engineering Manager of Adobe Print & Scan group, you will also be responsible for directing the development of specific features and architectural improvements through all stages of the software life cycle. You will lead a team of engineers, set clear expectations for individual team members, measure results and maintain high standards of excellence. Following software engineering and project management practices, you will help define feature sets according to market requirements; manage detailed development task schedules to ensure high-quality and on-time product delivery; participate in code and design reviews; closely track and manage defect resolution; and actively contribute to improving the software development process. Work closely with various stakeholders, engineering managers, senior developers, product managers, marketing and architects, to discuss projects specs, strategies and deliverables and to ensure building and running a world-class product.Essential Skills : 8-12 years of hands on experience in development. Minimum 3 years of leading teams in the software product development space. Experience on both desktop as well as server software development. Knowledge of web services development and cloud technologies. Adept at managing people, projects and schedules. Good understanding of architecture, design, performance and reliability issues in server side applications. Good understanding of object oriented design and knowledge of product life cycles and associated issues. Proficient in C/C++ programming. Solid skills in system level software development. Technical depth in operating systems, computer architecture and OS internals.
