Job Description

    An Export-Import (EXIM) Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing and managing a companys international trade operations, including the importing and exporting of goods. This role is vital for ensuring that products move efficiently across borders while complying with all relevant international and domestic trade laws, customs regulations, and logistics requirements. Core duties and responsibilitiesLogistics coordination: You will manage and track international shipments, working closely with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.Documentation and compliance: A crucial part of the role is preparing, verifying, and processing all necessary shipping and customs documents, such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations. You must also ensure full compliance with international trade laws, tariffs, and customs procedures.Trade regulations expertise: Staying updated on changes in international trade laws and government policies (like Free Trade Agreements) is essential to maximize trade benefits and prevent costly delays or fines.Vendor and client management: You will negotiate contracts and freight rates with logistics providers and shipping carriers. Youll also build and maintain relationships with international suppliers, customers, and customs authorities.Cost and risk optimization: A key responsibility is to analyze import/export data to identify process improvements that reduce shipping costs and lead times.
