Job Description

    The Data products and Analytics group in SMG at RMS India is responsible for the development of loss cost and risk score products that are licensed directly by RMS clients through LIAPI. This group also involves in various model development activities involving geospatial analysis. The group s another core responsibility is to develop customized geospatial applications for efficient process automation and productivity gains.Objective of the roleResponsibilities will include working with colleagues in India on the development of loss cost and risk score data products for targeted peril-regions and act as an internal subject matter expert for all data products. Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:
    • Learn best practices in catastrophe modelling
    • Learn RMS proprietary software RiskLink/Risk Modeler
    • Develop loss cost and risk score data products for LIAPI using both RL and HD models
    • Develop more creative and efficient processes in data products generation
    • Prepare concise to detailed documentation/presentation to share with both internal and client audiences
    • Coordinate and communicate development activities on frequent basis with other stakeholders in other RMS offices
    Skills required:
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
      • Ability to learn quickly
      • Good understanding on vulnerability database and how different tables in it relate to each other
      • Working experience on SQL database
      • Ability to write to technical and non-technical audiences and to interact effectively with the teams across the offices
    • Desirable
      • Basic programming skills with Python/R/.Net, Excel automation
      • Basic knowledge on GIS software (ArcGIS/QGis)
      • Basic knowledge on databases (e.g., SQL)
