Job Summary: As Steward, you are responsible for cleaning and arranging all crockery, kitchen tools and equipment in the most hygienic manner, as per standard set.1. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 1.1 Attend briefing at the start of shift to receive important information for the days operation. 1.2 Collect all soiled crockery using the decoy system. 1.3 Wash all soiled crockery, kitchen tools and machines using the right dishwashing procedure. 1.4 Arrange all cleaned crockery, kitchen tools and machines in its designated place. 1.5 Make sure the kitchen crockery and other equipment is organized in its proper place or shelves. 1.6 Check the daily function sheet and make sure that the chafing dish and other kitchen equipment are available and ready. 1.7 Conducts monthly inventory of all F&B operating equipment, kitchen tools and crockery. 1.8 Report accomplishment of the day including losses and breakages, if there is any, to the Chief Steward. 1.9 Work closely with all restaurant and kitchen associates, especially the section heads concerning distribution of operating equipment,tools and crockery. 2. General Responsibilities: 2.1 Contribute in creating a high morale and team spirit of the restaurant by maintaining effective relationships with colleagues 2.2 Perform additional duties as directed by your superior/s 2.3 Know all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures.2.4 Directs and supervise activities of the steward personnel in the operation, redeploying employees as necessary to maximize productivity. 2.5 Set auditing & inspection schedules of F&B areas & coordinate to Engineering department to ensure proper maintenance of all ware washing machinery & food processing equipment. 2.6 Exercises administrative supervision over all stewarding personnel that includes personnel requisition, promotion, granting of disciplinary action, training, rosters, and overtime requests. 2.7 Know the facilities of Katara Cultural Village, its daily events & functions, and social events around Doha, in order to provide correct information and address guest queries. 3. Occasional Responsibilities: 3.1 Participate in any training/development scheme as recommended by senior management. 3.2 Assist Management Team in any task outlined/detailed by him/her 3.3 Comply with any reasonable request made by management to the best of your ability 4. Legal Responsibilities: 4.1 Ensure that the standards required by Qatar Law and by Management are maintained at all times in the areas specified above.
