Job Description

    Job TypePermanentIdeas change the world. Help us change the way the world manages them. Main Accountabilities Financial Control & Reporting
    • Finalisation of monthly Profit & Loss A/c and Balance Sheet of the assigned entities.
    • Finalisation of monthly balance sheet schedules of the assigned entities including updating of commentaries on the key items.
    • In-depth analysis of all the GL, AP and AR transactions of the assigned entities.
    • Variance analysis of current month actuals with previous months actuals and updating of commentaries on the major variances.
    • Review of monthly reporting of the assigned entities.
    • Coordinating with external accountants for the preparation of financial statements of assigned entities in their local language.
    • Review of processing done by the accounts payable, billing and cash application team.
    • Responding to queries of the stakeholders.
    Group Management Reporting
    • Preparation of group balance sheet review pack and subsequent review with supervisor.
    • Preparation of financials for group financial reporting pack which includes results of the group, business segments and acquired businesses.
    • Review of monthly group results
    • Review of financials for submission to stakeholders.
    Group Statutory Accounts
    • Preparation of consolidated accounts of 4 Redtop entities as per IFRS.
    • Transition of group consolidated accounts from UK GAAP to IFRS.
    • Dealing with audit queries on the group consolidated accounts.
    • Preparation of statutory accounts of all the assigned entities.
    • Preparation of group judgement papers on Impairment & Going Concern and dealing with the related audit queries.
    • Preparation of guidance papers on accounting treatment of specific items for the reference of PWC and management.
    Audit
    • Completion of Statutory audit of assigned entities within the agreed timelines.
    • Completion of Group audit of assigned entities within the agreed timelines
    • Coordinating with auditors and ensuring all audit queries are dealt with appropriate backup.
    • Ensure no qualification in audit report.
    Team Management: Review of the following activities done by the subordinate:
    • Review of monthly Profit & Loss A/c and Balance Sheet of the assigned entities.
    • Completion of monthly closing and reporting activities as per the defined calendar.
    • 3) Review of monthly balance sheet schedules with the subordinate.
    Eligibility Criteria
    • CA / MBA with 5-8 years of experience in handling diverse accounting and finance function
    • Must have worked in an outsourced environment and comfortable working with foreign counterparts and under different time zones
    • Good knowledge of Oracle financials, Excellent MS office proficiencies
    • Working knowledge & firsthand practical experience of IFRS & US GAAP
