Role and Responsibilities : 1. Responsible for design, development and production release of the injection molds for plastic components and insert molded components preferably in the electrical connectors area 2. Responsible for design, development and production release of the gages, jigs and fixtures for plastic components 3. Responsible for tooling cost estimates, machine cycle time, machine tonnage selection, cavity optimization 4. Responsible for evaluating, developing and approving tooling vendors for job work / complete tooling package 5. Responsible for tooling time lines right from design to production release. 6. Responsible for tooling material selection, evaluation and developing tooling material suppliers 7. Responsible to conduct the tool design reviews with internal design team and with external tooling vendors. 8. Responsible for product feasibility / DFM study and suggest improvements to Product Design Engineering. 9. Problem solving and resolution of chronic issues in sustaining molds 10. Suggest improvements in manufacturing and quality assurance department to increase customer satisfaction Behavioral Competencies: 1. Passion, Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation 2. Good interpersonal skills Functional Competencies: 1. Minimum 10 years hands on experience in tool design, development and production release of injection moulds, gages, jigs and fixtures 2. Excellent knowledge of Hot runner / cold runner moulds 3. Strong knowledge of Mold flow, other injection moulding simulation software 4. Very good knowledge of tool steels and manufacturing processes 5. Experience in designing moulds using CREO design software preferred 6. Excellent Knowledge of DFM process 7. Ability to liaison with the customer, suppliers and toolmakers on technical matters 8. Good verbal and written communication skills 9. Good analytical and problem solving skills 10. Highly creative to come out with innovative solutions,
