About Cloud & Network ServicesCloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.Job DescriptionNW Design & Optimisation (NWD) comprises the planning and / or managing the planning of communications networks for customers. Covers consultation of customers on communication network performance. Contains optimisation and / or managing of the optimisation of customer networks. Covers the execution of end-to-end design-related activities (address surveys, site surveys, design and as-built) for deployment projects. The Performance & Optimisation Specialist performs solution monitoring, data collection, generation of daily / weekly reports, and a first level of analysis and problem identification in a domain of the customer solution (radio, access, core, application). Performs optimisation in terms of capacity, architecture, performance, analyses counters, and metrics on current capacity and usage. Forecasts traffic patterns to evaluate impact on current and future architecture. Recommends parameters tuning and design evolutions.Job Responsibilities & CompetenciesInterprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes and services. Has in-depth organisational and relevant market knowledge and uses understanding on how relevant areas can be integrated to achieve objectives. Contributes to strategic decisions within professional area. Solves complex problems based on sophisticated analytical thought and complex judgment. Contributes to development of concepts to determine professional direction of own organisational unit. Acts as a professional leader for staff / workteam / taskforces, often the most senior specialist in a team, who serves as best practice resource within own organisational unit and / or is recognised as an expert within the same professional area in the business. Often leads functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and complexity, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work Consults and optimises customer network with low to medium complexity based on traffic utilisation, patterns and defined assumptions to achieve the required KPIs.Key Competencies: Knowledge Management, Collaboration Skills,Communication and Public Speaking, Influencing Others, Project Management, Nokia Portfolio, Problem Solving,NPO Service Delivery,Risk Management,Customer Focus,Industry, Market & Technology Understanding, ConsultingMulti Vendor Radio Optimization experience is must.
