Job Description

It involves network performance assessment, audits and network performance enhancements (optimization) on regular basisIdentifies and solves proactively demanding problems and communicates them to key stakeholders for resolution.Ability to optimize network with all components based on traffic trends and customer forecast. Ability to compile Optimised system parameters to tune the network.Accountable for the timely development and delivery of complex engineering design and support deliveries, focusing mainly on the delivery of the customer GSM/UMTS/LTE core networks.Understanding of overall customer (managed services) network architecture with end to end understanding of traffic flow.Enhancement of network architecture design, and configuration (Data fills), Capacity planning, network interface analysis and design, and overall engineering support based on ongoing traffic trends.A key strategic objective of the position is to interface with the NOKIA (NET) Global community (CoDe, SSMs and Product team etc.) and to negotiate support and tech transfer from these contacts.Provides technical network planning and optimization support to assist customers in network rollout/modernization. Prepares/compiles NOKIA (NET) product information/configuration source data.To proactively help Local NPO and Project teams identify and collect required inputs for network planning and optimization tasksProvides project engagement support within a remote delivery framework and ensures that all deliveries strictly adhere to negotiated deadlines.Familiar and up-to-date with latest guidelines, engineering rules on how to dimension and plan various network elements including IPA/DX/ATCA platforms.Applies Global best practices work instructions/processes/tools ensuring high quality and timely deliveries.Applies knowledge and skills to analyze and resolve complex network problems.SD Representation in customer/project interface and acts like a Single Point of Contact for all technical/project related matters.Supports the MS NPO Manager with general and team management issues.Manages technical accountabilities of a small team of technical expertsMentors Network Planning and Optimisation skills of Junior team membersRequested competence:1. Hands-on experience on STP(Telesys), CSD-DRA(Nokia) and DNS(Infoblox).2. Complete Understanding of Cloud Core network.3. In-depth hands on experience on Nokia Cloud Core (CBIS/CBAM/CBND).4. In-depth knowledge of Integration of VM s using CBAM.5. In-depth knowledge of handling VNF issues related to configuration, scaling, healing and life-cycle of VNF.6. Understanding of STP flows and DRA concepts.7. In-depth knowledge of SIGTRAN/MAP/Diameter protocols used within Core N/W.8. Capturing traces for various Core interfaces with complete packet level analysis.9. Understanding of SS7, SIGTRAN, GRX, S6a, Gr, Gn link configuration & integration.10. Various configurations & license loading related to STP, DRA, DNS.11. Should be well versed with important STP, CSD, DNS related KPI s, their analysis & improvement plans.12. Deep understanding of Roaming and Hub services.13. Experience on Planning & Integration of New Roaming and Signaling links in Network.14. In-depth understanding/troubleshooting skills of STP, DRA, DEA.15. In-depth troubleshooting skills for issues related to Roaming/STP/Gn interface.16. Should be able to handle Emergency situations & work closely with recovery team to restore faults.17. Complete Health check analysis of Cloud Core nodes along with their configuration backup.18. Good understanding of UNIX/LINUX.19. Open Stack/Cloud Certification is a must.Skills1. Be able to work independently.2. Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands.3. Good experience on Network analyzers and performance tools14. Good knowledge of Internetworking, Network Security and Routing Protocols15. Experience with change management and problem management systems16. Strong communication skillsAdditional Skills:1. Nokia Cloud Certification will be highly preferred.2. Networking CCNA/JNCIA/NRS certification will be an added advantage,
