Our comprehensive wide area networking (WAN) solutions enable our customers to build and operate automated, secure, and high-performance networks at massive scale helping to interconnect people and things from any broadband access modality to and among - edge clouds, central clouds, the Internet, and other services and data centers.Job DescriptionNW Design & Optimisation (NWD) comprises the planning and / or managing the planning of communications networks for customers. Covers consultation of customers on communication network performance. Contains optimisation and / or managing of the optimisation of customer networks. Covers the execution of end-to-end design-related activities (address surveys, site surveys, design and as-built) for deployment projects. The Design & Planning Specialist designs, analyses, plans, and modifies network components supporting customer communication implementation activities. Develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods. Prepares the analysis of the short or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission, and signalling. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities. Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections. Performs the end-to-end design activities (including surveys, design itself, and as-built) required for a physical network deployment.Job Responsibilities & CompetenciesWorks independently and effectively in his / her area of design (address surveys, site surveys, design, as-built) for deployment projects by delivering his / her outcomes on time and cost, including the Bill of Material- / Bill of Quantity-related to the designed network implementation Works effectively in a mixed environment and uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Has in-depth business knowledge and uses understanding of how relevant areas integrate to achieve objectives. Uses advanced analytical skills to solve complex problems or problems that do not have routine solutions and takes a new perspective. Shares initial ideas for professional direction of own organisational unit. Acts as a professional advisor and mentor for staff / workteam / taskforces. May lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements or small teams, handles day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work. Independently develops configuration file, capacity planning, network interface analysis and design, and overall engineering support based on ongoing traffic trends.Key Competencies Knowledge Management Collaboration Skills Communication and Public Speaking Service Excellence Industry, Market & Technology Understanding Customer Requirement Management Processes, Methodologies and Tools Network Design Documentation Creation & Management Drives Results Customer FocusResponcibilities and Competency - Telecom or IT Engineer Experienced in IP networks (R&D, Architecture and network deployment), with recognized expertise in LTE networks / Core Package design, integration or support.- Proficient in latest technologiesTelecomm - 5G 3x and 5G SA along with LTEVirtualisation - Openstack, VMware , AWS, DockerSoftware Development - GitHub, CI-CD Pipelines, Jenkins, Ansible, Mistral workbook, Python, Node JS, Java Script, etc.- Knowledge of all or part of the set of protocols for IP/MPLS: IGP, BGP, RSVP, LDP, etc and Mobile networks related interfaces and protocols 2G-3G-4G IP certifications in one or more suppliers (Nokia SRC, Cisco, Juniper) are highly recommended, priority given to Nokia SRC certification.- Teamwork spirit, participation and facilitation of working groups and presentations, good interpersonal skills for customer services are also expected skills.- English is the language commonly used in all internal and external relationships, must be mastered, both spoken and written. Mobility for short missions from few days to few weeks (max 3 weeks / quarter).Qualifications- Bechlor Degree in Engineering- 10-15yrs Experience- 8-10 yrs relevent experience- Programming skills with IP / EPC Certification is added advantage.Imagine creating technology that has the potential to change the world.
