Job Title : Senior Assurance Manager Location : Noida This role forms part of the Operational Risk Framework, Capital and Reporting team and part of a new Operational Risk Assurance team which will be responsible for the management of Operational Risk assurance activities undertaken to oversee the implementation and execution of the Operational Risk Framework and performance of the Operational Risk Function.What will you be doing The role holder will be responsible for leading aspects of the annual assurance plan as directed by the OR Head of Assurance. Activities undertaken and areas of responsibility will include ownership and execution of activities to provide assurance that the Operational Risk Framework is implemented and operating effectively across designated Businesses and Functions. Additionally that the Operational Risk Function is operating effective controls and discharging its responsibilities in accordance with the Operational Risk Framework. Specific activities include the following:Annual Assurance Plan & Assurance Methodology:- Manage and update the Operational Risk Assurance and Conformance review plan for their designated areas on a quarterly basis to inform the annual review plan, working with the Risk Conformance Team. - Manage and update the Operational Risk Assurance methodology and assurance universe to ensure this remains effective to assess the implementation of the Operational Risk Framework across the firm and the performance of the Operational Risk Function.Assurance and Conformance Reviews:- Lead additional conformance reviews to supplement coverage provided by the Risk Conformance Team. - Undertake detailed planning and information gathering to finalise the scope for individual conformance reviews. - Complete an assessment of control design and operating effectiveness, including walkthrough and testing of controls to ensure framework requirements are met. - Record the results from control testing and raise issues where appropriate to address any concerns identified. - Conduct interviews with senior management and key stakeholders to assess how the Operational Risk Framework is used to support risk management within the Group, and to support assessment of the performance of the Operational Risk Team. - Perform reviews of closure documentation relating to regulatory and audit issues raised against the Operational Risk Function.Operational Risk Control Testing- Assess the design and operating effectiveness of the key controls performed by the Operational Risk Function as part of an annual assurance review plan. - Raise issues where controls are found to be ineffective and track any remedial actions to completion.Framework Monitoring & Reporting- Monitor performance against agreed and documented assurance indicators and measures. - Draft reports and raise issues where appropriate based on the results of assurance activities including conformance reviews. - Monitor adherence to the Operational Risk Framework and produce reports for Senior Management awareness and action highlighting any issues associated with the implementation and operation of the ORF.Issue & Exception tracking and validation- Track issues raised through assurance activities, as well as dispensations, waivers & breaches that relate to the Operational Risk Framework, including regular reporting and escalation for overdue items. - Validate that issues and framework exceptions have been remediated successfully in line with the agreed action plan. - Research and implement new processes to manage assurance issues and framework exceptions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the approach, including leveraging ORAC and Tableau system capability.Reporting & Committee Presentations- Produce reports covering all assurance activities completed within the Operational Risk Assurance team for Senior Management meetings and Committees. - Present results through regular and ad hoc updates as required.What we re looking for : The successful candidate will have: - Strong written and oral communication skills with an ability to communicate and influence at all levels in the business. - Extensive assurance experience, including undertaking conformance reviews, control testing, audit, or other related experience and knowledge acquired with a leading bank and/or consultancy. - A proven track record of project management and implementation skills and experience. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail combined with commercial awareness. Also shows an ability to think laterally and develop and deliver effective solutions in a complex environment against tight deadlines. - The ability to produce high quality documentation and present results from assurance activities with clarity, including formal reports, presentations and updates to Senior ManagementSkills that will help you in the role - Professional qualification in a related discipline is preferable (Audit / Risk etc). Knowledge of industry standards in relation to control & assurance (e.g. COSO). - The candidate will be educated to a degree level and be a member of one of the recognised industry bodies specialising in Operational Risk Management e.g. IRM, IOR and may have progressed towards obtaining a recognised professional qualification.,
