Job Description

PRIMARY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Solicitation and documentation of business requirements from Product Owners and key business stakeholders
  • Transformation and decomposition of business requirements to functional requirements and system requirements in collaboration with the team designer, developer, product owner and client Business Analyst (if applicable)
  • Writes decomposed functional requirements in a user story format complete with acceptance criteria
  • Create and build backlog in VSTS or JIRA for Epics, User Stories, and Tasks
  • Participate and lead the standing backlog grooming session with the appropriate Agile and Scrum team members
  • Understand and advocate the prioritization of user stories in relation to the development process and the Product Owners based on business value
  • Provide your recommendation (with team input) of the prioritized backlog for Product Owner approval (and refinement when necessary)
  • Collaborate to ensure alignment between members of the delivery team and the business team throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist in completion of validation documentation
  • Assist in creation and execution of test scripts to support the validation process in absence of formal QA resource

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 9 years experience in IT Services organisation
  • PSM-1 Certification
  • Knowledgeable in agile practices with flexibility to align with client adaptive delivery processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate at a level of detail appropriate for the audience
  • Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated
  • Enthusiastic and driven to succeed
  • Ability to work independently, but also successfully work on a team
  • Logical thinker, detail-oriented, organized and good at multitasking
  • Strong technical skills, business acumen, and ability to fully understand the needs of the customer
  • Ready to travel immediately to the US and should be in possession of a valid VISA (B1/B2)

DESIRED SKILLS

  • PSPO Certification
  • The International Institute of Business Analysis awareness, especially regarding the Agile Extension

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering Graduate/Post Graduate Degree
