Job Description

Purpose

We are looking for professionals who combine a deep knowledge of various mechanical domains, a curiosity to understand technology markets, complete ecosystems, product implementations and the underlying trends driving them, and a passion for creative, strategic thinking about the future of our client s business with an interest in learning about patents and intellectual property

Responsibilities:

The candidate will work in the field of intellectual property (IP/Patents) domain where he/she will work on various project such as patent and non-patent prior art searching, infringement analysis, market research, white space analysis, evidence of use projects, competitor monitoring, freedom-to-operate searches, standard mapping projects, etc.

  • Contributing to client s strategy development process by applying your technical proficiency and creative problem-solving skills to recognize market trends, opportunities and threats
  • Identifying and analysing patents in client s portfolio that may be relevant to technologies that are being deployed and/or used widely in industry
  • Updating your technical skill set and hands-on subject matter expertise in the technologies that are being deployed and/or used widely in industry
  • Ensure compliance with CPA Global Code of Business Ethics and Corporate Conduct

Key Skills

  • Should have good technical background
  • Should be technical sound in Mechanical Engineering subjects.
  • Should be a quick learner and self-starter
  • Specialization required in one of the below domain:
  • Automobile and manufacturing (Turbomachinery (pumps, compressors, turbines etc.) and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (HVAC)
  • Awareness of any of the following domain will be an added advantage: Engineering Materials 3D printers/Rapid prototyping Control Systems, EMS and Measurement Systems
  • Well aware of basic searches i.e. Patentability, FTO, SOA, and Validity/Invalidity
  • Awareness of patent and non-patent databases
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences comprising technical and non-technical members
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and other MS Office products

Eligibility

  • BE/B. Tech/M. Tech/PhD in Mechanical/Automobile domain from reputed college/university
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have obtained their degree from Tier-I institutes (IIT, IIIT, NIT, etc.)
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have cleared GATE
